Christine

Christine

When I learned a little bit about Mustangs (unfortunately after buying Christine) I started with the search for the cars history. The only document I had for that was a german title from 68. The first thing I realized was that Christine has been a long time sitting in a garage, because the car didn't receive a license plate since the so called "stillegung" 24.01.1974! This maybe the reason that the engine still have the old spark plugs and that the german road salt didn't eat everything from the body.

Rambo

Rambo

This is part of Rambo's story. This car should normally only be a door for Christine. The car was involved in a heavy crash with a VW Golf (btw: the VW didn't survive that!). The car was offered then as a parts car for the pricely sum of around $2700. When I saw it first, I directly wanted this car, mainly to get this already rebuild and very strong engine. But when my girlfriend saw Rambo she loved the car from the first moment. Also I told her that it isn't possible to hold two mustangs she said "Please give him a chance, don't butcher him!". After a long search I found the right workbench to get the banana out...

Special 64 1/2 Mustang Parts

Special 64 1/2 Mustang Parts

This is my 64 1/2 parts collection. I try to get pic's of every importantor interesting part which will be neccesary for a correct restoration. Also I could show everything here, I still have a lot of more parts pictures available, so don't hesitate to for for a special part. Notice that some of parts were also installed in 65 as long as available, and that production changes not automatically take place at the same day, at the same plant. So it's possible to find 64 1/2 parts also on early 65 cars. Also a lot of changes took place within the 64 1/2 production, with result that not every part is madatory in every month of production.

Early Mustang Paperwork

Early Mustang Paperwork

When I learned a little bit about mustangs (unfortunately after buying christine) I started with the search for the cars history. The only document I had for that was the 68 german T5 title. First I realized that christine has been a long time sitting in a garage, because the car didn't receive a license plate since the so called "Stillegung" 24.01.1974! Inside this title I found six names of former owners from which two were still living at the same adress mentioned in the title! I contacted both of them with the result that one of them send me some over 30 years old pictures. Unfortunately I didn't found out what happened in the first four years of christines live. It's seems that a GI at a german military base ordered over a world wide military export company located in newark. This would explain the missing export DSO for this T5. After finishing his time in germany he sold it to a german buyer, but that's not proofed. Maybe someone will read this story and found out that this was his/her father's car...

New York world's fair 1964

New York world's fair 1964

Some of the most famous Mustangs are the 1964-1965 New York Worlds Fair Mustangs. The first batch (only two batches were sent) of Mustangs all were Wimbledon White with red vinyl interiors, 260 2V V8's, C-4 automatic transmissions, and were made in March of 1964. These cars were going to be used in Walt Disney's Magic Skyway exhibit which was supposed to be a futuristic Disney theme. They would be installed on the Magic Skyway Conveyor as they were tracked around the Skyway.

The "Number One"

The

The "Number One" Mustang was a Wimbledon White convertible with a 260 cubic-inch V8, and its vehicle identification number (VIN) was 5F08F100001. Shortly after it rolled off the assembly line, that car went on a Canadian publicity tour that took it to George Parson's Ford dealership in St. Johns, Newfoundland.

One day, captain Tucker was driving his Pontiac around St. Johns and passed a crowd of people around milling around a Mustang convertible, VIN 5F08F100001. Tucker told Parsons he wanted to buy that Mustang, but Parson's hesitated as he wanted to hold on to the car to get a little more publicity out of it. When Tucker came back with a cheque in hand the next day, Parson's sold the car to Captain Tucker.

The rest of the story is history...

The "Number Four"

The

In 2009 gentleman back east registrate a 1964½ Ford Mustang convertible with the VIN of 5F08F100004.
This Mustang #4 was another Raven Black/Red Magic Skyway convertible - the whereabouts from the other two are currently unknown...
These early Mustangs (about the first 180 to 200 VINs) are of particular interest to Mustang enthusiasts because they were built prior to the "official first day of production" of the Mustang on March 9, 1964 - and often utilized slightly different parts and assembly methods as the engineers figured out the best way to build the cars.

Licence Plates & Keychains

Here you will find pictures of the unique world's fair licence plates and keychains

The rarest pair of plates I own myself are 7G-1944 and 7G-1945.

The cars from which these plates are coming, were his and hers Mustangs. 1944 was a red 289 cu. in. 4 speed (his) and 1945 was a red 6 cylinder automatic (hers). The cars were registered on Long Island, NY. The numbers were the year each of them were born.

US Car Meeting Trier 2009

Geboten werden u.a.
Trier.
